During the last seven years, the majority of my life was dedicated to raising the best rabbits that I could. Whether it was traveling to a show many hours away; or spending whole nights in the barn cleaning cages, feeding, planning my breedings, and whatever else it took to maintain the rabbitry, nothing made me happier than being with my Netherland Dwarfs. I made lifelong friends, learned so much about people (the good and the bad), and gained an unprecedented amount of information about animal care and husbandry--all of which I will carry with me for the rest of my life. All good things must come to an end and in the Fall of 2013, I made the decision to disperse my herd of Netherland Dwarfs in order to focus on a more important goal.... to become a Veterinarian. The choice was not easy but I feel it was the right one for myself and my family. I plan to keep my membership with the ARBA and the ANDRC and will retain my license as a rabbit registrar. With that said, I wish my friends the most success in the years to come. Someday I may be back.
